The participants will be able to engage in scholarly debate on critical issues of responsible business and their critical thinking will develop further. The students will have a well-informed understanding of the current debates concerning the role of business in today's global society, and will master the current issues of global responsible business. This year, special emphasis will be placed on the issues of climate change, circular economy and biodiversity. The students will be familiar with the most recent and relevant interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary academic publications related to the topic, which they can further employ in other contexts, such as a master's thesis and future careers.
The first learning objective of the course is on learning to read, interpret, and further employ academic articles related to responsible business and global reports related to environmental sustainability. Secondly, participants will have the opportunity of putting the readings into practice via the analysis of a real-life case company of their choice in teams. The course starts with a kick-off workshop, and ends with the students? case-based presentation day(s).

The course is organized during periods III & IV **Spring semester 2020, periods III-IV (7 January - 3 May 2020)** The course is arranged as integrated into degree studies and lectures take place during the day (Mon-Fri, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m). The final grade is based on an individual essay based on readings (50%), a team-based case study report (40%), and the oral presentation of the case study & activeness at the final case-based presentation day (10%).
