Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analyses starting from experimental planning to genome scale data assembly.

General description

Topics will include: experimental design of NGS studies, understanding the properties of NGS data, sequence quality control and filtering, assembling transcriptomes and downstream analyses, such as transcriptome annotation.
