Students gain an insight on the role of methods as the backbone of the scientific research process. They learn about different research types, approaches and philosophies, research designs, data collection and stages of research process. They become familiar with the most commonly used methods in social sciences and humanities and know how to apply them independently in their own research projects. They will be capable of identifying and defining research questions, finding the most suitable research methods for different research approaches and independently devising a research strategy.
