Learning outcomes

Students understand the most common research methods used in the social sciences and humanities. Students are familiar with the regional perspective as a starting point for research and its methodological implications. During the course they will choose a topic for their Master’s Thesis with the help of supervisors, write a research plan and present it in the Seili seminar. With the skills and knowledge acquired in this module they are then ready to pursue this topic and conduct research on their own.
