Specialization Studies, 60–80 ECTS


Specialisation studies are arranged and offered in interdisciplinary, thematic modules (6-12 ECTS) by home and partner universities according to the special expertise of each university.

The degree includes a compulsory an international study period either at an international partner university or participating in international recognized summer schools. At least 36 ECTS, and at least 3 full modules, i.e. 12 ECTS each, of the specialization studies must be taken at the home university (UTU) among the modules M1, M2, M3, M4, M5 and M7. Time of the study period at a partner is the autumn term of the second year (3rd semester). Choosing the partner university is based on discussion with the program staff and students during the ISP sessions. The studies in the partner university must include at least 15 ECTS of subject studies. Students are encouraged to take also language studies. The language studies can’t replace the compulsory subject studies, but they can be included in the degree as additional studies.
