A. Advanced-level studies in the major subject

Advanced-level courses, exercise projects and seminars, specified in the student's personal study plan. The student specializes in one of the available tracks (major subjects): EITHER Cryptography and Data Security OR Networked Systems Security. The major subject studies consist of 30 ECTS of special courses in the chosen track (major subject), 10 ECTS in the other track's compulsory courses and 10 ECTS of information security studies in Turku School of Economics. The 10 ECTS studies in the other track's compulsory courses or the 10 ECTS of information security studies in Turku School of Economics can be extended to a minor subject. In this case, the student needs to take additional courses available in the major subject to cover for the 10 ECTS used in the minor subject. Details must always be discussed with the student's study supervisor.

In addition to the courses listed below, special courses on selected information security topics may be available annually and can be included in requirements section A (advanced-level studies in the major subject). 5 ECTS of additional credits in the Capstone-project can be included in the optional studies.
