Consumption, Culture and Economy II, 3–9 ECTS

Learning outcomes

The course aims at deepening students' knowledge on consumption, lifestyle, culture, and leisure research. After completing the course, the students will be able to analyse chosen cultural phenomena and lifestyle issues by reflecting on the current theoretical framework and research findings.


The course will focus on examining consumption, culture and lifestyle particularly from a global perspective. The course examines the relationships between new media and technology, advertisement and marketing as well as changing welfare systems with contemporary lifestyles and cultures.
