Learning outcomes

The course aims to familiarise students with how concepts from evolutionary biology can be used to address biological questions of health, social and economic relevance.


Topics covered may include e.g. agriculture and the evolution of resistance, aquaculture, biomedicine, biotechnology, conservation biology, DNA bar-coding, fisheries and wildlife management, agriculture and GMOs
