Learning outcomes

Plant researchers will gain an understanding of basic bioinformatics methods and skills necessary to make in silico characterisations of genes and proteins.


The course is a hands-on, computer-based introduction to bioinformatics tools used to analyse conservation, function and evolution of genes and proteins, as well as methods for analysis of gene expression regulation and protein structure predictions. Participants are led through practical exercises that are based on typical research scenarios.
