Learning outcomes

After the course students will have basic knowledge about Finnish geography, population and minorities, administration and politics, education system, religion, history and demography, as well as different aspects of cultural life in Finland. In addition, students will be able to discuss current issues in Finland and to make links between historical events and current day issues in Finland.


The course will give students an insight into different aspects of Finnish society and culture, and tools to see how historical events have lead to current day issues in Finland.
