1. to develop legal terminology
2. to increase cultural literacy
3. to improve oral competence in relation to legal discussions, debates, tasks and problem solving
4. to sensitize the groups to pronunciation, grammatical, and syntactical errors on the basis of error analysis studies.
5. to improve writing skills in relation to business letters, legal briefs, documents, and summaries
6. to assist in preparing students to employ the English language for the purpose of further research and study, as well to provide a foundation in English for their professional careers

Weeks 37-48 and 3-13

Exams:
Autumn semester: 4 December 2013, 18 December 2013 and 16 January 2014
Spring semester: 3 April 2014, 7 May 2014, 4 June 2014
All the exams take 4 hours.

1. Students cannot take First Year English and Second Year English at the same time.
2. The English courses must be taken in sequential order.
3. The 75% attendance rule applies to each semester of each course.
4. No extra written assignments can compensate for the 75% rule.
5. Students are required to register for one group and remain in that group.

Registration for the course begins in NettiOpsu on September 4, 2013 at 10 AM and ends on September 5 at 3 PM.
