Learning outcomes

After completing this course, a doctoral candidate has the readiness to search for information from the electronic materials in the library, manage references effectively, and write as well as formulate text documents according to the layout requirements provided. Doctoral candidate has also the knowledge of copyright laws and ethics concerning the scientific research.

Contents

Using electronic materials and the Refworks bibliographic management program: 4 hours (Anu Valtari), using Word in writing publications: 4 hours (Timo Leino), Copyright law issues in scientific research 2 hours (nn). Ethics in research 2 hours (nn).
