General description

Course is not offered in academic year 2013-2014. Please see the courses in statistical research methods offered by UTUGS and Centre for Statistics (Tilastotieteen keskus). There will be a compensatory course offered including a section aimed especially for doctoral candidates in business and economics held by Janne Engblom.

Learning outcomes

The goal of this course is to provide the readiness for dealing with research materials in a quantitative manner.


It includes the principles of both statistical testing and estimation theory as well as the most generally utilized methods of multivariate analysis.
