Learning outcomes

The goal of the course is to help the students recognize and use central applications based on electronic networks in the society. As individuals they should be able to use them effectively, and as members of organizations they should be able to take part in the conceptual design and organizational use of e-services.

Contents

Central concepts of e-services, such as e-business, e-government, e-health, e-democracy and e-work are conceptualized and operationalized in the course. The difference between Internet 1.0 and 2.0 is made clear, and especial emphasis is given on social media in business. Organizational and business applications of e-services are studied, and the central technical and regulatory frameworks in the case of each service are identified.
