It is recommended that the students have passed the course JO2 or they should have comparable ground information.

Learning outcomes

This course increases and deepens students' knowledge of the different approaches and phenomena in strategic management area and improves their analytical strategy skills. We find that strategic management is a diverse collection of approaches that may be even incommensurate with one another. As a primary goals, after this course, the student should be able to (a) follow the scientific discussion in her/his area of interest, (b) understand the background assumptions and limitations of different approaches, and (c) apply these views and ideas, or theories in general, in her/his master's thesis and future employment.

The course consists of literature on selected topics in strategic management and a written examination.
