Bravais lattices and the classification of crystal structures, reciprocal lattice and reciprocal space, bonds in molecules and solids, band theory of electrons and spectroscopy, photonic crystals, Fermi surface, density of states, magnetism, superconductivity, the methods of Hartree and Hartree-Fock, density functional theory, variational method, perturbation method, free-electron and tight binding type methods, Green's function method, coherent potential approximation
