Learning outcomes

To gain first-hand experience in observing at a world-class telescope and/or obtaining skills in data analysis and interpretation.


The student will participate in a summer/winter school or equivalent, when courses are available. Passing the course will include attending lectures, carrying out a small observing program,and writing a final report. Also more theoretical summer/winter schools can be attended, with the final work and report reflecting the topic of the school (this will be decided on an individual basis). It is also possible to combine short-duration schools in order to obtain the full 5 ECTS credit.

Participation in summer/winter school(s). These include lectures and/or small observing programs. School duration 1-3 weeks, full-time work.
