Learning outcomes

The student knows and understands the differences in structure and function between aquatic and terrestrial communities and their ecological consequences. The student knows the models of direct and indirect defense allocation and their empirical tests in aquatic and terrestrial environments. The student becomes familiar with the history and recent research in plant-herbivore interactions and understands its current questions.

Contents

Lectures on ecology and evolution of plant-herbivore interaction and on characteristics of tri-trophic level interactions in aquatic and terrestrial environments, presentations of recent key papers of the research field with discussions.
