Learning outcomes

Students are able to analyze the connections between the ethics and futures studies. Moreover, students are able to evaluate the various ethical dimensions of future developments. Particularly with technology foresight and assessment, students are capable of discerning the ethical impacts of various technological applications.

Contents

Course gives comprehensive account on ethical dimensions of futures studies. Course will be divided into two parts: the critical ethical issues a practitioner of futures studies will face and how to follow ethical principles in futures studies.

The final grade of the course consists of a written extensive assignment on a selected topic based on literature and supplementary material (50%) and a written exam based on literature (50%). The course also includes group discussion seminars. It is mandatory to attend the group discussions in order to pass the course.
