General description

The course includes a review of the basic grammar and vocabulary of English. Special emphasis is placed on active communication through the development of new vocabulary and a review of basic grammatical form. This course is open to all students including international students.

Learning outcomes

After the course the students should
- have greater grammatical awareness, accuracy and usage of the language;
- be able to better recognise common slips and errors in English and have an increased ability to correct them;
- have greater confidence in using new English vocabulary and grammar;
- have some tools for improving their skills in English.

Contents

- Reviewing and practicing basic grammar according to the needs of attending students;
- Broadening vocabulary according to the needs and wishes of attending students;
- Speaking activities in pairs and small groups;
- Introducing tools for language learning.
