General description

The course familiarizes students on basics concerning different development theories, their practical implications in development work and issues concerning the current development discussion.

Learning outcomes

To become conversant with the main development theories and methodologies.

Contents

Classical and neo-liberal development theories, structuralism, neo-Marxism and socialism, grassroots development, environment and development theory,globalization and development, post-colonialism.
