Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to introduce accounting as a managerial tool. The course enables students to familiarize themselves with recent accounting innovations, developments and practices, which make effective management of costs, revenues and investments possible. Having completed the course, students are able to appreciate and apply accounting in the context of business management.

Contents

The topics covered include an overview of management accounting developments in the changing environment, activity-based costing, strategic cost management, accounting for competitive strategy and innovations.
