Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the participants should be able to create effective search syntax and manage the results with ease. She/he will have an understanding of the basic elements of scientific publishing (ethics, impact, evaluation). After the course the participants are familiar with the tools, resources and services they have in their use when doing their research in Turku University.

This course "Information Resources and Tools for Research" is organized by UTUGS and the Turku University Library, and is equivalent to previous course YLJ0 Tools for Researcher. This course is obligatory for all doctoral candidates who begin their postgraduate studies in autumn 2007 or later. The course is highly recommended for all doctoral candidates, i.e. also those who started their studies earlier than 2007.
