Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students
- will have considered and analysed a range of managerial business communication
- will have a comprehensive knowledge of different types of business correspondence
- will have produced a selection of effective business correspondence: emails, memos, letters, executive summaries and reports
- will have had an overview of advanced grammatical structures and typical grammatical errors
- be able to see improvement in their writing skills due to the feedback on the course
- will have been introduced to the resources available for enhancing their business writing

Contents

The course includes both theoretical information on writing competent business texts and considerable writing practice. Students will receive feedback on their written texts. During the course the students prepare a portfolio, which includes a comprehensive sample of texts used in business communication.
