Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students
- will have developed their competence for discovering, interpreting and communicating hidden cultural meanings
- will have become aware of their taken-for-granted cultural assumptions and misinterpretation of others
- will understand the relationship between communication and leadership norms in multicultural teams

Contents

The course includes both theoretical knowledge and practical exercises for improving the participants' competence to participate in business team building. The students create teams, write reflective essays related to the exercises and reading required during the course, and they also write a final reflective essay about their learning experience at the end of the course.

Teaching methods

Group 1 I group teaching 24 h independent work 57 h. (Please note that group teaching in group 1 includes 4 hours of exercises that take place during the 2nd period according to students' schedules.)

2015-2016: Intensive groups: Group 2 II and group 3 IV: group teaching 24 h, independent work 57 h.

2014-2015: Intensive groups: Group 2 II and group 3 III: group teaching 24 h, independent work 57 h.
