Learning outcomes

Upon completing the course, students will have mastered a number of central themes in the contemporary history of Sino-Japanese relations.

Contents

The course examines the basic points of contention and co-operation in the modern and contemporary Sino-Japanese relations. These include the wars, the inter-dependent pathways to economic growth and issues of historiography.
