Learning outcomes

Students will learn how to prepare for independent research of the region in social sciences by gaining basic knowledge in the special requirements and pertinent tools of data acquisition and data analysis as well as specific theoretical and paradigmatic issues in East Asian studies.


The course introduces students to the process of preparing, conducting and reporting their research in the field of East Asian studies. It deals with the practical methods of acquiring and analysing data from different sources.
