Learning outcomes

The main goal is to familiarize students with the key concepts of the decision analysis and teach students to apply these concepts to model and analyze complicated real life systems involving decision making practice, Additionally, students will get skilled to construction and usage of various features of models that take into account decision support such as e.g. multiobjective, uncertain and dynamic specifics. Students will also learn to understand better the modeling assumptions and limitations, observe differences in the behaviour of the decision alternatives.

1. Introduction, preference modeling, structuring, decision analysis and rationality
2. Multi-attribute value theory
3. Value tree analysis
4. Multi-objective optimization as decision making tools
5 Game theoretic approach to decision making
6. Group decision making
7. Modeling uncertainty
8. Measuring risk
9. Utility theory
10. Decision trees and influence diagrams
11. Practical issues and applications
