Learning outcomes

Objectives: The course is intended to provide an introduction to the chemical and physical characterization techniques for materials and nano-objects.

Contents

Contents: Optical characterization techniques for surface analysis and for membranes (Surface -IR, surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, ellipsometry). Techniques used for size determination of nanoparticles and macromolecules (light scattering, ultracetrifugation, electrophoresis, size exclusion chromatography, mass spectrometry, viscosity measurements), Field Flow Fractionation Separation.
