Learning outcomes

After completing the course, students understand the main developments of transition economies in Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia twenty years after dismissing the centrally planned system. Students will be able to understand the current situation and analyse the future developments in these countries based on their historic development.

Contents

The course gives an overview on the historic development and the current state of the Eastern European and Central Asian economies.
