Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student should be able to define the institutional framework of the EU economy, analyse the competitiveness of the EU and describe the main European businesses/industries.


The course concentrates on the competitiveness of EU companies in the internal and global markets. European business environment, business clusters, market place and factors influencing the competitiveness of European companies are discussed.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Evaluation is based on a written home exam and a written group assignment. Written home exam is based on lectures and literature.
