Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is threefold: to enable participants to develop the ability to devise and implement effective marketing strategies in a competitive environment and, to demonstrate a high level of problem solving competence in analyzing strategic cases and, to function as competent team members. “The Marketing Game!” simulation requires teams to allocate duties amongst themselves, analyze the market and competitors through management reports, select target markets, and position the product to meet the demands of the target market. After completing the simulation, students search for alternative research information and compose an individual report on postmodern marketing thinking.

Contents

The intensive part of this course is based on “The Marketing Game!” simulation, which is a competitive group activity where teams experience decision making under uncertainty in a simulated marketing environment.
