Learning outcomes

The course deals with the dynamics of chemically important processes including chemical reactions, diffusion, energy and electron transfer. The student can discuss complex reaction mechanisms on the basis of elementary reaction steps, understands the basic properties of fluids and the importance of diffusion for molecular processes, understands the mechanisms of energy and electron transfer at the molecular level, and knows the principles of electrochemistry.

Contents

Dynamics, change. The kinetics of complex chemical reactions, properties of fluids, diffusion, nanomachines, introduction to photochemistry and molecular energy transfer, fundamentals of electron transfer, molecular electronics, physical electrochemistry and principles of electrochemistry.
