General description


Learning outcomes

Knowledge related:

The course introduces students to the basic concepts and themes of tourism and hospitality as a significant global industry and a model example of the experience economy. During the course the student learns the geographical patterns of international tourism, characteristics of the tourism and hospitality companies as well as the multifaceted tourism cluster that is formed by these companies but includes also a wide range of other organizations and actors.

Skills related:

The student is familiar with the basic assumptions of the global tourism business and understands the characteristics, development and significance of the tourism and hospitality industry and its linkages to various other industries.
