Learning outcomes

By the end of the course the students will have
- an increased understanding of the key processes in negotiations.
- learnt to analyze a given negotiation situation, create a strategy that is suitable and apply it.
- practiced analyzing their own performance and that of others through self-reflection and reviews.
-documented their own progress as developing negotiators.

Contents

The students will first study the structure of a negotiation, step by step, and finally take part in practice negotiations. The course focuses on how to use communication skills to create a flexible atmosphere, direct and guide momentum towards goals, and create a shared sense of agency. We practice how to express ourselves accurately without forgetting to respect the person we are talking to. The goal is that the students will be able to apply the strategies and techniques learned to negotiations outside the classroom.
