Learning outcomes

After the course, the student will understand that project is a temporary organisation established to carry out a potentially complex assignment within a specified time. He/she will identify the importance of project management and recognize that project management theories and practices are multiple and case and context driven.
Student will have an understanding of main project management concepts, theories and techniques, and be able to implement fundamental planning and scheduling techniques useful for project managers. Further, student will recognize the importance of risk assessment within project management, identify the mechanisms of monitoring project performance and managing changes in project and finally identify the different roles of project team to perform efficiently in his/her own role.

Contents

Covered topics include the different knowledge areas of project management such as project planning, project communications, project performance monitoring, and change management. Both conventional as well as agile Project Management methods are presented.
