Learning outcomes

The course enables the students to understand the role of the game designer in the game development process. The students will also have abilities to iteratively develop a game design from an idea through a concept into a game design document.


Game design is approached from historical, developmental and creative perspectives. The course proceeds through cycles of theory, game analysis and practical design exercises focusing on different eras and genres.
