Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will understand the basic mechanisms and functions of emotions and their implications on cognition, everyday social behavior, and psychopathology.


This course covers the fundamentals of neural, cognitive and experiential basis of emotions. Building up on cellular and animal work towards human neuroscience, experimental work and clinical studies, major aspects of emotion science are covered.
