Available for students who have attended Beginners' courses before and who have language skills: - Reading and Writing basic characters (hiragana, katakana and about 100 basic kanji) - Vocabulary 400 words - Basic grammar (verb conjugation, tense, existence, adjectives, nai-form, te-form, comparative, superlative)

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will have learned more expressions and will be able to understand and explain matters in more complex situations such as expressing impressions and students' hopes and desires; speaking about the reason for doing things; giving advice. Students will be able to ask for favours, tell about experiences, future intentions and plans as well as school events. They will also be able to read and write about 193 kanji characters.


The course provides grammar and conversation practice, listening and reading comprehension, compositional practice and opportunities for practising kanji characters.
