Learning outcomes

After the course the students will be familiar with the application of evolutionary psychology in various sub-disciplines in psychology and different fields like economics, law, medicine, anthropology, linguistic, sports, music, architecture, politics, education, etc.


The course will provide an introduction to applied evolutionary psychology. The theory and mechanisms of evolution, the fundamentals of modern evolutionary psychology, the different approaches in behavioral ecology, and the application of evolutionary psychological thinking in various sub-disciplines in psychology and a variety of disciplines will be discussed. The lectures will cover the current state of evolutionary psychological studies on human cognition and social behavior.
