Learning outcomes

The student knows the main theories in entrepreneurial action and is able to compare and parallel them to experience-based view of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial activity. The student is able to analyse the different characteristics, competences and skills in starting and running ventures in different contexts. The student identifies individual, organizational and environmental factors influencing entrepreneurship. After the course the student abilities for academic work will have enhanced.

Contents

The literature will inform about the theories in entrepreneurship and venture creation. The students will visit and interview entrepreneurs about their own experienced-based account of entrepreneurship and venture creation. The visits and learning derived will be reported in the class and in the mid-term report. During the course and in the final assignment the student will compare and parallel the relationship between entrepreneurship practice and theory.

Attendance is restricted to 48 students. In case of excess demand, TSE students majoring and minoring in Entrepreneurship have priority over others.
