Learning outcomes

The student has the basic skills to work in a biotechnology laboratory and a capability for independent working with the help of written instruction. The student is able to analyse and interpret the results obtained. The student is able to report results both in written and oral format according to a good scientific practice.

Contents

The course contains several different works by which the student is introduced to the various methods and applications of biotechnology.

Participation to the laboratory works and show & tell -sessions. Work reports are required. There is an exam in the end of the course.

Evaluation and evaluation criteria

Pass/fail.
For completion of the course, the course exam needs to be passed and all the work reports must be approved.
