Preceding studies
Basic knowledge in biochemistry and inter- mediate/advanced level course in structural bioinformatics. A maximum of 10 students will be accepted into the course based on a qualifying exam. More information and sign-up in advance electronically on site /student/coursesbiosci.

Learning outcomes

Theoretical and practical introduction to
the prediction of 3D structure using computational meth-
ods, comparative modeling of protein 3D structure.


Theory of methods in molecular modeling, exercises in sequence analysis for molecular modeling and homology modeling, molecular modeling programs. Algorithms, programming strategies, and recognition of pitfalls and limitations of methods and results.
