Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the students will know how to read and analyse survey-based research papers. They will be familiar with existing survey data and the operationalisations of the key variables in entrepreneurship research. Students will know how to design a survey protocol and design a questionnaire. Students will know how to write and present survey-based research papers.

Contents

This course offers the students information about how to collect survey data and prepare for the analysis. The students will learn different sample selection methods and their advantages and limitations. We will also discuss how to design and conduct a survey, and study commonly used operationalisation in entrepreneurship studies. During the first part of the course the students will review and analyse survey-based research articles. The second part of the course focuses analysing survey data and presenting results. As part of the course requirements, the students are expected to write a joint-paper ready to be submitted to an international conference. The papers will be presented in class.

Teaching methods

Seminars and termpaper. The course will be conducted as an intensive course.
