Learning outcomes

Students are familiar with the evolutionary concepts taught in the course issues.


Themes covered include (but are not restricted to) phenotypic and genetic variation: origin and maintenance, Natural selection and adaptation, Evolution of genes and genomes, evolutionary genomics, advanced evolutionary analyses using R and other programs, societal applications of evolutionary biology.

Lectures, student presentations and discussions on the presented topics. The course will (loosely) follow the text book Evolution, by Futuyma.
