Student knows
1. what internalization is about in education, research, professionally
2. the core strategic documents related to the internationality in health sciences and in the University of Turku
3. the variety and diversity of the exchange programmes available, and professions in the global world
4. the role and standing of his/her profession in the international environment
5. own strengths and development areas related to the internationalization

Internationality in health sciences
International career from different perspectives (researcher, director, educator, others)
Alternatives for internationalization
Personal learning plan

Teaching methods

Small group work (12 hours), participation into the International Day of Dpt of Nursing Science and the International Week of the University of Turku (5 hours), implementing small-scale international activity e.g. tutoring/hosting an international visitor (10 hours), independent study (27 hours)

Further information

The course is offered in English only as well as the majority of the course material. The part 1 of the course will begin on the spring term 2017 but is mainly taken place on the first academic year in master degree studies.
