Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to familiarise students with history and classics of sociology in order to deepen students’ understanding of the nature of sociology.

Contents

Students will be introduced to history and classics of sociology by examining relevant literature on the field.

Literature.

The exam is taken through the Electronic Exam service: https://tenttis.utu.fi.

Book exam consists of essay questions. The student is expected to write an outlined answer based on the reading materials. The questions will commonly relate to a particular chapter, or a key theme or concept, in the reading materials.

Numeric 0-5.
