Learning outcomes

The course aims at deepening students’ knowledge about social inequality. After completing the course, the students will have a more profound understanding of the central features and critical aspects of sociological research on social inequalities.


Students will be introduced to a given special field in sociology (social inequality) by participating in course on social inequality or by examining relevant literature.

Book exam consists of essay questions. The student is expected to write an outlined answer based on the reading materials. The questions will commonly relate to a particular chapter, or a key theme or concept, in the reading materials.
