Learning outcomes

The course aims at deepening students’ knowledge about politics, globalisation as well as social and political movements. After completing the course, the students will have a more profound understanding of the central features and critical aspects of sociological research on politics and globalisation.


Students will be introduced to a given special field in sociology (politics and globalisation) by examining relevant literature on the field.

Book exam consists of essay questions. The student is expected to write an outlined answer based on the reading materials. The questions will commonly relate to a particular chapter, or a key theme or concept, in the reading materials.
