Learning outcomes

The objective is to understand the basic concepts and methods of descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The participants will learn to conduct analyses in JMP. The main focus will be in clinical trials (bio/medical), comparison between two/multiple groups, focus will be on numerical data analysis.

- The idea of statistical inference
- The connection of study objectives and statistical hypothesis
- Descriptive statistics
- Basic statistical tests for numerical data
- Basic statistical tests for categorical data
- Quick review for special tests: survival analyses, repeated measures
- How to find appropriate statistical method
- Statistical reporting
